How To Use PetLabCo. ProBright® Advanced Dental Powder

To use PetLabCo. ProBright® Advanced, simply add 1 scoop of dental powder to your dog’s bowl daily, slightly wetting the food if it is dry, to ensure optimal intake. Instructions are the same for every size and type of dog breed (you’ll purchase a tub based on your dog’s weight and use the included scoop to give your dog their daily dental powder). You can also apply ProBright Advanced directly to your dog’s teeth using a clean finger or a dog-safe finger brush, if recommended by your veterinarian.

Want a little more advice about how best to use ProBright Advance? In this article, we’ll explain in detail how to use ProBright Advanced for dogs, how to store it between uses, and answer FAQs about using the product.

Directions For Daily Use of ProBright Advanced Dental Powder

ProBright Advanced dental powder is designed to be given orally, using the handy included scoop. This tasty, chicken liver-flavor dental powder can be given at meal time – just add 1 scoop of ProBright Advanced to your dog’s bowl.

The dental powder mixes easily with your dog’s food, forming a type of digestible “mouthwash” that targets yellow tartar and the compounds that can cause smelly dog breath. Following the instructions on the product is important so that you can ensure your dog receives the right amount for their weight.

Pro Tip: If your dog has dry food, slightly wet the food before adding the recommended amount of ProBright Advanced to optimize intake. If your dog has wet food or food with a liquid topper, there is no need to do anything other than add the recommended amount of ProBright Advanced.

The Benefits of Consistent ProBright Advanced Use in Dogs

ProBright® Advanced is a science-backed dental powder designed to support breath freshness, oral cleanliness, and dental hygiene in dogs. With clinically studied results, vet-reviewed ingredients, and easy daily use, it’s a great addition to your pet’s at-home dental care routine, especially when paired with regular brushing and vet checkups.

When used daily, according to instructions, ProBright Advanced is expertly formulated to promote whiter, brighter teeth and freshen breath. This tasty, easy-to-use dog dental powder helps to target dirt and debris on your pup’s teeth, getting to the source of bad breath by tackling one of the number one causes – tartar build-up.

Using ProBright Advanced consistently, according to the provided instructions, can help to maintain dog dental hygiene and support healthy teeth and gums.

Key benefits of regular ProBright Advanced use:

  • Clinically Studied Fresh Breath Support: ProBright® Advanced is clinically studied in dogs for oral odor support. One study found a 40% reduction in a key odor-causing compound after 28 days of daily use.*
  • Helps Target Tartar: This advanced dental powder is formulated with brown algae and targeted enzymes designed to help support oral hygiene and break down existing buildup over time. When used consistently, it may help support cleaner teeth and healthier gums.
  • Supports Oral Hygiene Without Brushing: If brushing isn’t possible, ProBright® Advanced offers a simple, mess-free way to help support oral cleanliness. The powder is designed to work when given daily, either directly or sprinkled on food.
  • Powered by Brown Algae & Enzymes: The formula includes Ascophyllum nodosum (a brown algae known for its natural bioactive properties) plus digestive enzymes like lipase and lysozyme, which are known to help maintain oral health and target buildup.
  • Vet-Reviewed Formula, Made in the USA: ProBright® Advanced is vet-reviewed, developed by nutritionists, and made in the USA using globally sourced ingredients. It’s manufactured to rigorous quality standards with pet parents in mind.
  • Designed for Daily Use: Daily use is key. Most dogs begin to experience fresher breath in 2–4 weeks, with tartar support developing over 4–8 weeks of consistent use. Like any wellness routine, consistency is essential for long-term results.
  • Easy to Give: ProBright® Advanced can be sprinkled on food or given directly with the included scoop. Some dogs may enjoy licking it from the scoop or a finger brush. No brushing required—just a few seconds a day.

Is ProBright Advanced Suitable for All Dogs To Use?

ProBright Advanced is suitable for use by all dog breeds, from 12+ weeks of age. Depending on the weight of your dog, you’ll purchase a different tub size. We offer four tub options for extra small, small, medium and large dogs, keeping things stress-free and ensuring your dog gets the optimal amount of dental powder for their weight.

Weight Ranges for ProBright Advanced

  • Extra Small – under 4 lbs, and 4-12 lbs
  • Small – 12-25 lbs
  • Medium – 25-75 lbs
  • Large – Over 75 lbs

Pro tip: If your dog is extra small according to our weight ranges, the tub you purchase will contain a dual-ended scoop – a little scoop and a big scoop. If your dog weighs under 4lbs use the little scoop. If they weigh between 4 and 12 lbs, use the big scoop. You only ever need to use 1 scoop of ProBright Advanced each day, regardless of the weight of your dog.

How To Store PetLabCo. ProBright Advanced

ProBright Advanced should be kept in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. It’s really important to ensure that you reseal the tub straight away after each use. This helps keep your product in optimal condition for longer – PetLabCo. ProBright Advanced keeps for around 8 months, when stored correctly. It’s important to store your ProBright Advanced out of the reach of children and animals.

How To Use PetLab Co. ProBright Advanced: FAQ

How Do I Know Which Version of ProBright Advanced To Use For My Dog?

ProBright Advanced is given in quantities determined by dog weight. You should purchase the correct tub for your dog based on their weight. If you need assistance with weighing your dog, your veterinarian will be able to weigh them for you. Once you know how much your dog weighs, simply select the appropriate tub based on their individual requirements. Only ever use the included scoop, and only give 1 scoop a day – no matter how much your dog loves the taste!

Can I Use ProBright Advanced For My Dog If They Are Already Using Other PetLabCo. Products?

ProBright Advanced can be used alongside PetLabCo.’s Allergy & Immune Chew, our Probiotic Chew and certain other PetLabCo. products, like our tasty range of treats. If you are concerned about combining products, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before introducing ProBright Advanced into your dog’s routine. Always follow the Directions for Use.

Should I Add Water To ProBright Advanced Before Giving It To My Dog?

No, there’s no need to add water to the product before giving it to your dog, unless you are adding ProBright Advanced to dry food, in which case a light sprinkle of water can aid optimal intake.

Where’s the Included Scoop? I Opened the Tub and Can’t See It

Sometimes the included scoop shifts to the bottom of the tub. If this happens, wash your hands carefully and then use a clean spoon to help you find and fish out the scoop.

Do I Have To Add ProBright Advanced To My Dog’s Food Dish? Can I Give It Another Way?

We recommend giving your dog their daily scoop of ProBright Advanced during or after they have eaten, as this aids digestion of the product. Adding one scoop of ProBright Advanced to their food daily is easy, simple, and floods their mouth with healthy probiotics that target oral biofilm and help break down tartar buildup.

If I Use ProBright Advanced Do I Still Have To Brush My Dog’s Teeth?

Brushing is the gold standard for doggy dental care. That being said, we know it can be difficult to consistently brush your dog’s teeth daily if they pull away, lock their mouth, shake their head, or try to eat the toothbrush (it does happen!). So, while we recommend daily toothbrushing alongside use of ProBright Advanced, it’s good to know that ProBright Advanced provides additional support in cleaning your dog’s teeth and freshening their breath, thanks to the synergistic blend of ingredients, formulated by scientists and veterinary dentists.

When Can I Expect To See Results From Using PetLab ProBright Advanced?

It can take up to 90 days of consistent use to see the best potential benefits of using ProBright Advanced as part of your dog’s daily dental care routine. Each dog is different – some see the benefits in the first month of usage, while others see the best results from months 2 and 3 onwards.

Disclaimer: A 28‑day clinical study using a dog model found that ProBright® Advanced reduced a common oral odor‑causing compound (hydrogen sulfide). Individual results may vary.
