Ingredients to Clean, Deodorize & Soothe

Our Clear Ears Therapy dog ear wash contains salicylic acid and ketoconazole — two dynamic ear cleaning ingredients. Ketoconazole can support and cleanse sensitive skin in the ears. Salicylic acid helps support occasional irritation and promotes normal moisture retention within the ear canal.

    Targets Hard-to-Reach Areas

Your dog’s ears are delicate and using cotton swabs can cause damage and push dirt and buildup further into your dog’s ear canal. Our dog ear cleaning solution penetrates hard-to-reach areas and provides a deep clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

For at-home ear cleaning, all you’ll need is a dog ear cleaning solution and a clean cloth or cotton pad. PetLab Co.’s Clear Ears Therapy is a gentle, science-backed ear wash that is suitable for dogs and puppies who are 12 weeks and older. Never use cotton swabs to clean your dog’s ears. These can push wax and dirt further into your dog’s ear canal or cause damage if you’re not careful. If your dog’s ears are red and irritated or your dog is showing signs of ear discomfort, talk to your veterinarian before using an over-the-counter dog ear cleaner.

Dog ear cleaning solutions, such as PetLab Co.’s Clear Ears Therapy, are designed to help break up dirt and buildup in a dog’s ears. Wax is often removed when a dog shakes their head following an at-home ear cleaning. Any residual ear wax can be gently wiped away from the outer ear following a cleaning. You should never use cotton swabs to dig wax out of a dog’s ears. This can push it further into your dog’s ear canal and you run the risk of damaging your dog’s ear drum if you push the swab in too deep. If your dog has a lot of wax buildup in their ears, you should see your veterinarian for a consultation and a professional ear cleaning.

The frequency of your dog’s ear cleaning needs will depend on their breed, lifestyle, and overall ear health. Some dog breeds — such as those with floppy ears or those with long ear hair — may require more frequent ear cleanings than breeds with shorter ears or no ear hair. Dogs who swim frequently or spend a lot of time outdoors may also require more consistent ear cleanings. For general ear maintenance and hygiene, 1-2 ear cleanings per week is recommended. Dogs who are more susceptible to dirt and wax buildup may benefit from daily ear cleanings. If you’re unsure about how often to clean your dog’s ears, consult your veterinarian or a professional pet groomer.

Absolutely! Our dog ear cleaner is designed to clean and deodorize your dog’s ears. Keeping up with regular cleaning at home can help encourage odor-free ears.

PetLab Co.’s Clear Ears Therapy is suitable for all dogs and puppies 12 weeks and older.
