PetLab Co.’s Best in Show Photo Contest Results

Is your dog ready to steal the spotlight? That’s the question we asked as we kicked off the PetLab Co. Best in Show Photo Contest, a fun way to celebrate the unique quirks and charms of our furry friends. 

Over the course of four days, 250+ pet parents entered, showcasing their pups’ brightest smiles, quirkiest personalities, and best costumes. Our community of pet lovers voted between the 21st and 25th of October to help us find the top dogs across five fun categories!

Today, we’re thrilled to share the winners and finalists of PetLab Co.’s Best in Show Photo Contest! 

From adorable senior dogs to stand-out ears, we received some incredible entries that perfectly captured the unique charm and spirit of each pup. Take a look at our winning entries and standout participants below.

Brightest Smile

Winner – Ava

Ava is an 8-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever with a beaming smile that shows how happy she is to be part of her forever family.
Owner: Vickie

Runners-up: Bentley, a spunky Chihuahua; Dutch, a Pit/Lab mix with a gleaming grin; Jelly, a Maltepoo/Havanese; and Kenzo, a cuddly Pug.

Best Ears

Winner – Sally

Sally is an 11-year-old Terrier with ears that are as expressive as her wonderful personality.
Owner: Melissa

Runners-up: Blossom, a cuddly Schnoodle; Potato, a sweet Miniature Pit Bull; and Cheeto, a charming Terrier mix learning to navigate life as a “small dog.”

Sweetest Senior

Winner – Bubba

Bubba is a wise and loving 16-year-old Husky mix who adores his walks and brings joy to everyone he meets.
Owner: Bernice

Runners-up: Argo, a gentle Brittany Spaniel mix; Capone, a Labrador full of life; and Gabby Lee, a kindhearted Pit mix.

Goofiest Pup

Winner – Dougie

Dougie is a Golden Retriever with a knack for carrying his favorite ball everywhere—he even tries to hide it under the couch!
Owner: Erin

Runners-up: Banx, a playful Great Dane, and Jammer, a Chiweenie with a unique way of letting his owner know it’s time for a walk.

Best Halloween Costume

Winner – Clive

Clive is a handsome Golden Doodle who rocks every costume with his pal Georgie.
Owner: Cathy

Runners-up: Ellie, a goofy Border Collie blend; Lacey, a mutt decked out as “Taylor cheering on Travis”; and Piper, the cutest “Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia Piper” you’ll ever see.
